Year 6 worked really hard during their outdoor learning session this week. Each child explored the area and found 4 sticks of equal length and width. They then created picture frames tying each point of their square with a clove hitch followed by square lashing to keep it secure. This activity was pretty tricky but everyone rose to the challenge and persevered. Those that managed well helped and encouraged those that were not so confident. It was an excellent session where everyone pulled together and succeeded.
Next week we will be turning our frames into weaving looms. Watch this space to see how we get on.
