Guidance for Emergency School closure due to bad weather
In the event of extreme weather conditions the Head Teacher will liase with the Site Service Officer to ascertain whether it is appropriate to close the school.
The assessment will take into account:
A) Safety and accessibility of the site and surrounding area
B) Availability of heat, light, power and water
C) Availability of staff
D) Availability of meals
Once a decision has been made the Head Teacher will confirm this on the council’s website at www.coventry.gov.uk/snowline and this information will automatically be emailed to local radio stations.
