A very emotional last day in Bright Future School. The children performed plays we had worked on all week. The nursery children did a fashion show with dressing up clothes donated by parents from Good Shepherd and Nuneaton Swim club. There were lots of tears, it’s hard to believe the week is over. We feel we have achieved a lot this time – reading, phonics, plays, science and sport. It’s good to know we have made a difference.
Another busy day of sports and reading. The children love reading and there are some fantastic readers even in nursery and reception classes. The children are full of enthusiasm and keen to learn. The Staff bench ball team were very competitive and despite our best efforts we were beaten again! Only 2 days left in the school and lots still to do.
Hello from Uganda! It was another full and busy day at Bright Future today. We began with games of dodge ball and football. The kids are amazing playing either bare foot or with one flip flop and a trainer on their shooting foot! The afternoon was spent working on plays which they have learned in just 2 days. We are back in school at 7.30 tomorrow for more.

Today was a day of mixed emotions. The morning was spent in school with the children doing dance presentations while the afternoon included a tour of the slums. Despite being before, it still comes as a shock to see the poor living conditions and truly makes you appreciate what we have. Tomorrow we are teaching in school starting with sports and then working on plays.
An exciting first day at Bright Future School..Great to see old friends and to see the changes they have made. The children were pleased to see us and loom bands and bubbles caused huge excitement. Dressing up clothes most welcomed and nursery children are having a fashion show later in the week.Tomorrow we are back at the school for some sports activities.

We are pleased to announce that the school has registered with Reading Eggs and Reading Eggspress. This exciting online programme is designed to motivate and excite your child to improve their reading skills. On Friday, your child will bring home a letter showing you how you can log into their Reading Eggs account. If you experience any problems logging into your child’s account then please contact their class teacher. We look forward to seeing what you and the children think.
